I vote for D20.
The D20 SRD is out of their control, and I do not think they can do anything about it.
besides, D&D has always been about the D20 to me, and I couldn't game without my players-dreaded "lucky red"

I vote for 3d6. It lessens the randomness of the system. As for the critical issue, who said we MUST use criticals in 3.75? Ok, maybe without criticals it's not real (how can we use the word real referring to a fantasy rpg??) D&D, but in my homebrew setting/system (although it's not entirely 3.75, because of it's not entirely D&D) i got rid of them.
