...to the makeshift home of the 3.x Players and Dungeon Masters small but shiny little Point of Light in the D&D Community.
Discuss with like minded people about the game you want to play. And maybe see the advent of 3.75 - the best D&D game ever!
edit: toned down

I don't know about the " only point of light" (emphasis mine). I think the whole "we're the only ones who care" thing needs to be toned down a bit if this community wants to attract more fans of the game. It's all about a welcoming attitude and some professionalism and restraint on the part of the moderation team.

I saw you hawking this place on both Paizo's boards and at Wizards. I had already declared on a different forum that my intention was to club 4e over the and yonk its better material for a private rewrite of the PHB/DMG for my own group(s). This seems like a good place to join others of like mind.
I guess I'm really holding off on my own major revision efforts until I can see what Wizards has done to the d20 system in the new SRDs, when they are finally released.

...to the makeshift home of the 3.x Players and Dungeon Masters small but shiny little Point of Light in the D&D Community. edit: toned down Hiya all ! I'm here and I intend to stay for a while. It's great to find a place with a lot of other similar-minded people. So what do you intend to do to promote 3e ? Personnally, I am running Living Arcanis just now, but I intend to launch my own 3.5 homebrew campaign fairly soon. I have no recruitment problems so far. How about you ?

Hi and welcome at the boards. - the first step to promote 3E has been done with this website.
- Next there is the petition. The more people asking publishers to continue their suppport the better, of course
- The more like-minded people that gather here an speak with a single voice the better
- What you can do is spread the word, and share your ideas, homebrew stuff, etc. Yesterday I had the idea to make a "best of homebrew" regular feature on the website.
Some people at other boards say that you can only convince publishers to produce 3E stuff if you buy lots of 3E stuff now. IMO this is only partly true. We are currently in a state where noone buys anything. 4E-pros don't want to spend money on an obsolete system, and 4E-cons don't buy (more) stuff (now) because they don't know where the journey is going. So on the other hand there must also be signal from the publishers.

I think making this place the kind of clearing house of 3.75 material is our most potent potential product. If we put good information here then traffic will flow. He who controls the traffic ... well its like "the spice" in this metaphorical space. Points of interest, A, Game rules cannot be copyrighted - we can condense and etc them here. B, Lists and Ratings of extant (and archived) 3.x products. C, Links to merchants selling 3.x D, Somebody call the www.d20srd.org dude. Get him up in here. E, Set up a wiki for game world displays (homebrews or pros). Hmm... thoughts?

Hi Stormingmarcus. Welcome aboard. So you are from italy. I noticed that there is many D&D stuff in italian out there in the internet. And there are many D&D translation in italien. So I guess that there is a large gaming scene?
