Hi friends. I'm putting together the first 3Point75 magazine. I'm planning to include a community corner with something like "best of the boards" or other contributions I'm accepting one or maybe two articles until 21st of december. The magazine will be released (hopefully) at 1st of january as a free download. I will put a donate button there for two reasons: 1. I hope to cover the online costs for the next year for 3point75 2. When enogh people are interessted in the magazine it will be an ongoing feature. But then I have to pay artists and maybe authors to increase the quality of the product. The overall theme of the first magazine will be "beginning" and "faith" Please post your proposals and a short description to my inbox at the forum or to my email adress if you have it. I'll contact you personally when you're in. Please don't be upset if you are not chosen Either you will be taken for another issue, or your article will be posted on the website. Please note: - lenght: about 1000-1500 words (including spaces) - no copyrighted material - you grant permission for publishing your stuff in the magazine or on the website. Otherwise the copyright remains on you (you can choose a license of course) Thanks in advance!

Ah. Good idea. I'll see what i can come up with. Problem with me is my (sometimes) awful english, so i hope you have some good editors *g* ;-)
One thing: the proposal can be via email. but what about the final contribution format? word? text-file? pdf? with or without graphics? i ask because i look through my self-written stuff if there is something appropriate, but if there isn't i have to write something in about 5 days....so better start now, even if my submission will be rejected...
and one more: i have a short adventure in the works but 1.500 words (already at the 1400 mark) are not enough. my guestimate would be around 5.000 (and hopefully meeting the 21st dec deadline). would this be ok?

Thanks beastman you can send the final version in txt or rtf. I'd like to include a short adventure in the magazine. This can of course be longer. I'd like to take a look on your adventure. It should however be generic and not assigned to a special campaign setting like FR or GH.

as for the graphic: Currently our artists are busy with other contributions, so it would be cool, if you had some artwork available, which however should meet some quality requirements, and you must have the copyright, etc

OK, I am concerned about something.
(ahem) If I could sblock here, I would.
A. The copy right thing.
I am willing to "publish" a world here in a wiki format. I don'na wan'na say "open fluff" but at the same time I wouldn't mind approving stuff to be in Motherland. I want to contribute, and am working on a "faithful" article regarding the future I see with this 3.75 belief. I mean I really like 3.X, I in fact co-created 3.75 ..once upon a time.. joked about it with my friends. It was my idea then.
Anyhow! How many words ya want for article thing?

Well I'm no lawyer, but here is what I have done so far. I always make it clear, that things are for personal use only and may only be published with the author's permission. Don't know exactly if anyone cared about such things, since some things have appeared in various "OGL" books. I would not go so far as to say someone has stolen my ideas - perhaps its just coincidence and that someone has had the same idea as i had. On the other side, there where a few requests to use some of "my" stuff. I fear it's most gentlemen agreement. If you publish some "fan-material" in the web, someone may use it and unless you have a fat purse, I don't see a way to claim / force your copyrights.

Hi. And welcome aboard. If you like to contribute an article just send me a proposal. Each article should not be more than 1000 letters. However, this issue is scheduled for 1st of january (maybe 2nd ) As for the license: Just choose a non-commercial license and you should be fine. If you choose OGL make shure that you mark what's OGC and what's not
