crit-no threat it is a crit. keen and improved crit add one to the range not double and can stack. clutz-ranged into meele hit friend otherwise break string/lose next action. if in meele it provokes attack of opportunity speeds game up and adds an element of tension in fighting lower CR creatures
last act-dropped below zero? take your last act (usually a heal) and you are done for the round. reduces TPK risk and character mortality abit, (just dont forget my bad guy gets one too, ala balrog vs. gandalf)
i allow characters to go negative HP equal to Con and add Con Mod to rest healing. if below 0 the stabilization is fort DC =10+ amount below zero to stabilize. these things increase the durability of the beefers and reflect the fragility (usually) of the arcane mega damage casters.
i always try and reward the characterr that put points into Cha (especially non paladins)

We use the -Con rule to stay alive , too. However not the Con Mod to rest healing, because we already use reserve points, which may be to much then. But on the other hand. why not, if it speeds the game up..

We also use CON % for stabilization.

spell casters get level in HP and spells, non casters get level + con mod. i also use profession herbalist alot for a daily dose of healing herbs (based on DC rolled)
